Regular grooming helps keep your dog’s skin and coat clean, healthy, and comfortable. It also gives groomers an opportunity to notice visible concerns such as skin irritation, parasites, lumps, or changes in the coat that may need further attention from your veterinarian.
Regular brushing removes loose hair and dead skin cells, helps distribute natural oils throughout the coat, and helps prevent tangles and matting. Nail trimming prevents excessive overgrowth that can cause discomfort and affect the way your dog walks.
Routine ear cleaning can help remove excess wax and debris, while allowing us to notice redness, unusual discharge, odor, or other signs that may need veterinary attention.
Regular grooming also helps your dog become more accustomed to being handled, brushed, bathed, having their feet touched, and other parts of the grooming process.
In general, most dogs benefit from professional grooming every 4 to 8 weeks, but the ideal schedule depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, coat length, lifestyle, and grooming needs.
Dogs with long, curly, dense, or easily matted coats may require more frequent grooming, while short-coated dogs may need professional grooming less often. Your groomer can recommend a schedule based on your dog’s individual coat and the style you want to maintain.
Grooming prices vary depending on the service selected, your dog’s breed and size, coat type and condition, and the time and effort required to complete the groom. Matting, de-shedding, difficult handling, or other special grooming needs may affect the final price.

We’ll contact you as soon as your dog is ready for pickup, so there’s no need to call or arrive early to check on your pet.
Yes. Dogs may be kept in individual kennels before, during, or after their grooming service when needed for their safety and comfort. We keep kennel time to a minimum, and our staff regularly checks on dogs while they are in our care.
If you prefer your dog not to be kenneled, ask about our Express Service, which provides a dedicated groomer and minimizes your dog’s time at the salon.
Yes. Our Express Service provides your dog with a dedicated grooming professional, minimizing the amount of time your pet spends in the salon. Once the groom is complete, your dog will be ready to go home right away, so we ask that you remain in or near the salon during the appointment.
When booking online, select Express Service in the service options. If booking by phone, simply let us know that you would like to add Express Service to your dog’s appointment.
Express Service is an additional $20–$30 for Full Groom packages and $10–$20 for Bath & Brush packages, depending on your dog’s size.
Yes. Nail trims are available as a walk-in service and usually take approximately 15 minutes. No appointment is necessary, although wait times may apply.

Our Dead Sea Mineral Mud Bath is a luxurious conditioning treatment designed to deeply moisturize and refresh your dog’s skin and coat. The mineral-rich mud helps soften the coat, loosen dead skin cells and buildup, and restore moisture to dry skin and hair.
During the treatment, your dog receives a relaxing 15-minute massage while the mud bath is worked through the coat. After rinsing, we follow with a deep-conditioning treatment to leave the coat soft, hydrated, smooth, and refreshed.
It’s an excellent spa upgrade for dogs that could benefit from extra moisturizing and coat conditioning.
Yes. Anal gland expression is available as a $10 add-on to any grooming package or as a stand-alone walk-in service. No appointment is required for the stand-alone service, although wait times may apply.
Yes. Our Self-Wash Service gives you access to our professional bathing stations, along with shampoo selected for your dog’s coat and skin needs, towels, brushes, and combs. You can also use our high-velocity dryer or kennel dryer to dry your dog.

Yes, when appropriate. We select the safest and most suitable drying method for each dog based on factors such as coat type, breed, age, behavior, and comfort level. Depending on the individual dog, we may use a high-velocity dryer, kennel dryer, or a combination of drying methods.
In most cases, we recommend that owners do not stay and watch during the grooming process. Seeing or hearing their owner can cause some dogs to become distracted or excited, making grooming more difficult and potentially less safe.
However, every dog is different. If we reach a point where your dog is difficult to handle safely without your assistance, we may ask you to remain with us or help reassure and steady your dog while we complete the necessary grooming.
Our priority is always to choose the approach that provides the safest and least stressful experience for your dog.
No. We never sedate dogs at GroomXpress, and we do not accept dogs that have been sedated for their grooming appointment.
If your dog has been known to have a behavioral reaction to grooming or bathing, please let us know when booking the appointment and again at drop-off so our groomers can plan the safest approach.
For dogs that become anxious during grooming, we may recommend that you consult your veterinarian about whether calming treats, CBD, or another calming option may be appropriate and could help make the grooming experience safer and less stressful.
If your dog becomes extremely stressed, uncooperative, or uncomfortable with the grooming process, we may modify or end the session for your dog’s safety and comfort. We will never sedate your pet.
